National Bank of Kuwait Building Project
Project Case Study: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) HQ – Bespoke Metalwork

Crafting a World-Class Landmark with Bespoke Decorative Metalwork
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) Headquarters is an architectural icon. This Foster + Partners design required a vast range of high-finish decorative metal components for both its stunning interiors and its signature exterior features.
Our company was a key supplier for this prestigious fit-out. We were entrusted with fabricating and delivering thousands of complex metal components, from massive curved lobby panels to intricate decorative screens, all manufactured to world-class tolerances.
Key Metalwork Solutions Provided:
Bespoke Exterior Decorative Elements: We fabricated the large-scale exterior vertical louver screens (metal baffles) that create a signature decorative facade for the building’s entrance. We also manufactured the complex, curved stainless steel beams for the main entrance canopy.
Stainless Steel Column Cladding: We produced the large-diameter mirror-finish stainless steel column cladding found in the main lobby, mezzanine, and elevator core. This required extensive factory prototyping and quality control to ensure perfect curvature and seamless, hairline joints.
Curved Interior “Rib” Cladding: Inside the soaring grand atrium, we produced the massive, curved metal-clad “ribs.” These decorative panels, finished in a warm bronze/wood tone, sweep from the floor to the skylight, creating a dramatic, cathedral-like atmosphere.
Interior Decorative Metal Screens: We manufactured a wide variety of intricate decorative metal screens for lobbies and private lounges. This included laser-cut panels in PVD gold and brushed bronze finishes, as well as custom-patterned metal partitions that divide spaces.
Bespoke Handrail & Interior Accents: Our scope included fabricating the sleek, modern stainless steel handrail systems for the atrium’s grand staircases, glass balustrade components, elevator interiors, and other accents like curved mirror-black panels for desks and feature walls.
