High-Performance Protective Coatings
These coatings are engineered for superior durability, color retention, and environmental protection
A. PVD Coating (Physical Vapor Deposition)
PVD is an advanced vacuum process that applies a thin, durable, and brilliant decorative film to high-grade stainless steel.
- Key Benefit:PVD significantly enhances the hardness and longevity of the stainless steel, providing superior wear and scratch resistance.
- Color Range:We offer stunning colors including Gold, Rose Gold, Black, and Champagne. PVD colors are bonded at a molecular level, meaning the finish will not fade, chip, or peel, even in exterior applications.
Applications: Ideal for luxury elevators, architectural trim, and high-traffic commercial spaces. It is also a “green” finishing process with zero hazardous waste.
B. PVDF Powder Coating (Fluorocarbon)
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) coatings offer a blend of fluoropolymer and polyester, delivering exceptional resistance to weather, UV radiation, corrosion, and chemicals.
- Key Benefit:PVDF-coated aluminum sheets typically last over 20 years, making them a durable and reliable material choice for exterior applications.
- Base Metals:PVDF is preferred for Aluminum due to its light weight and corrosion resistance. It is also compatible with steel, stainless steel, and copper
- Applications:Essential for exterior wall cladding, roofing systems, and curtain walls where long-term exposure to the elements is constant.
II. Electrochemical & Chemical Finishes
These processes chemically alter the metal surface to achieve unique color stability or an authentic aged appearance.
A. Anodized Finish
Anodizing is an electrochemical process applied to Aluminum. It forms a durable, naturally protective oxide layer on the surface.
- Key Benefit:Anodized aluminum is highly corrosion-resistant , UV-stable , and maintains its metallic character. It is often dyed in various colors like silver, black, or bronze.
- Sustainability:The process is non-toxic and produces no hazardous waste.
- Applications:Excellent for architectural cladding, curtain walls, automotive trim, and marine applications due to its resistance to saltwater corrosion.
B. Patina & Antique Finishes
Patina is a chemically or naturally developed surface oxidation that adds unique character and historical depth to a project.
- Metals & Effects:Typically applied to Copper (green/blue patina) , Brass (antique gold tones) , and Bronze (earthy browns and oxidized greens). Steel can also be patinated for industrial grays and blacks.
- Protection:Patina adds a protective layer that helps resist further corrosion, wear, and harsh environmental conditions.
- Customization:We offer fully customized color, texture, gloss, and pattern A clear coat can be applied to “lock in” the desired aged appearance.

III. Bonded Metal (Composite) Solutions
Bonded Metal (metal laminate) is a specialized composite solution that offers a cost-effective and lightweight alternative to solid metal sheets.
- Construction:We bond a thin, genuine metal skin (Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass, Bronze) to a lightweight, rigid substrate (like MDF or Aluminum Honeycomb).
- Key Benefits:Provides the unmistakable visual and tactile beauty of real, solid metal at a fraction of the weight and cost.
- Applications:Ideal for elevator cab interiors (meeting weight limitations) , architectural wall panels that don’t require heavy support structures , and custom furniture cladding.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1.What is Bonded Metal, and why should I choose it over solid metal sheets?
A: Bonded metal is a composite material where a genuine metal skin is laminated to a lightweight substrate (like MDF or aluminum honeycomb). You should choose it because it provides the same visual aesthetic as solid metal but is much lighter, more affordable, and easier to install.
2.Which coating offers the highest protection for exterior facades exposed to UV and harsh weather?
A: PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) Powder Coating is engineered for superior durability and UV protection in exterior architectural facades. It offers exceptional resistance to weather, UV radiation, corrosion, and chemicals, and typically lasts over 20 years.
3. How durable is the color of PVD coatings, and will it fade outdoors?
A: PVD colors are highly durable. The color is bonded to the metal at a molecular level, and the coating is highly resistant to UV rays, meaning it will not fade over time, even in outdoor applications.
4.Can I request a custom color or pattern geometry with these coatings?
A: Absolutely. We offer full customization in color. The PVD process allows for custom color matching , and decorative patterns can be integrated using engraving or etching techniques into the patina base.
5.How do I prevent a Patina finish from changing color or stop Brass/Bronze from aging?
A: If you want to maintain the original look of brass or bronze and prevent the natural patina from forming, you must apply a protective clear coat or lacquer. This clear coat seals the metal from the air, but it may require maintenance over its lifespan.
6.How do I clean and maintain these specialized finishes (PVD, Patina, Anodized)?
A: Routine cleaning for PVD and Anodized surfaces only requires a soft cloth and mild detergent. For Patina finishes, you must avoid harsh chemicals to protect the aged surface.
7. Which finishing processes are considered the most environmentally friendly?
A: The PVD process is recognized as a “green” finishing process because it is a clean, dry vacuum process that produces no hazardous waste or water pollution. The Anodizing process is also non-toxic and produces no hazardous waste.
8.Which materials are best for high-touch, hygienic areas, and why?
A: Copper Alloys (Brass/Bronze) are the ultimate choice for high-touch surfaces. The high copper content in the alloys makes their surfaces naturally antimicrobial, meaning they actively and continuously kill bacteria and microbes upon contact.
